Review - Rio Rosa 'all natural' day&night cream!! And general update!!

Wow, I feel like it's so long since I blogged. The main reason for that is that I have been working. Yes, working!! Some crazy school has decided that I am indeed a fully qualified teacher and has had me in covering classes. It's hard work and stressful, but it's money!! I keep getting asked if I'm a princess or Rapunzel. Of course I am!! =p

So, my review today is of Rio Rosa Mosqueta Anti-Ageing Day & Night Cream which was sent to me for an honest review. The product is all natural, containing "Rosa Mosqueta rosehip oil together with Bulgarian rose extract and well known skin ingredients such as Shea Butter, Macadamia nut oil, Aloe vera, Calendula, Horsetail and Chamomile." It's also free from parabens, paraffin and other synthetic ingredients.
It claims it...
  • Rejuvenates and protects naturally
  • Helps prevent the signs of ageing
  • Renews tired looking skin
  • Boosts moisture levels Protects against UVA damage
  • Certified organic
I have been applying it every night for the last week. Here is what it looks like in its gorgeous packaging:

So pretty. It's a very thick cream with a lovely smell, and a little goes a long way! I made this mistake on my first try (I'm a newbie to night creams) when I slapped it on like moisturiser. It's a lot thicker and takes longer to absorb.

Actually, I felt like although once it's sunk in my skin was smooth to touch, but my actual face felt extremely tight! However, this sensation passes and right now my skin isn't great so I'm hoping regular use of this will perk up my skin and clear any blemishes, as it claims. I think a week's use is too soon to tell whether it actually does do this, so I'll do a follow up in a few week's time to let you know! I do feel good about applying such a natural product to my face, and it looks like the jar will last a long time, so I'm feeling positive!

On other news, I have started voluntering at my local animal shelter again. I have volunteered there on and off since I was fourteen and since I seem to have more time now, I felt it was about time I went back! This time round I'm only helping socialise the cats. It's pretty much my dream job. Here's a few cute pics!

Little kitty and littler kitty ^_^

You may have seen if you follow me on Twitter (@ThinkPinkLauren) that my lovely sister sent me an exciting envelope in the post to thank me for letting her borrow all my summer clothes for her holiday. I wasn't expecting much, but I got home to find this!

Sooo excited about what I can buy. Probably gonna spend a decent amount on beauty stuff, and then maybe shoes or a nice dress or something. EeeeEE. Thank you Alie!! <3

Scott, me, my sister and her boyfriend. <3

And since it's been a while,

Day 09 – Something you’re proud of in the past few days

Probably the fact that I'm back volunteering! I'm a huge animal lover and the Scottish Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is very important to me. If you ever have free time, I encourage you to make use of it by volunteering! It's so worthwhile. ^_^

THANK you to all my new followers as well, and sorry this has been such a rambly post. So excited to be near 100, would be amazing if I could reach it before my 'first month blogaversary' but to be honest I'm over the moon to even have anyone interested in what I have to say! May have to do another wee GIVEAWAY when I hit 100! Yay!
